I haven't explored MTGgoldfish enough but I know I immediately preferred these alternatives over it, I just can't remember why anymore. TCGplayer is cool because when you buy a card, it will add it to your inventory, but that's only cards purchased through them. I know that TCGplayer and MTGgoldfish also have inventory tracking things but I tested them out and could immediately tell that these dedicated websites were much better. Finally, they sport a partnership with which is sweet. Though some may find it too busy, I think it's miles better than Topdecked's UI. Archidekt also has some of the best UI work making it look the most modern and aesthetically pleasing in my opinion. I use Archidekt for my deck database, and removed my decks from echomtg leaving just my collection listed in one lump sum. This does not mean echomtg is my favorite though.Ī - I just recently discovered this one and decided that, until they add the same financial tracking suite that echomtg does, I'm going to pay for, and support Archidekt and Echo at the same time. I've always felt that a marriage of echomtg and deckbox would be the perfect website. It's just a list permanently stuck in "date added" order. And once you have all your decks listed, there's no way to sort them, organize them, or group them.

If you make a commander deck and name it "Dimir Zombies" but then you upgrade it to an Esper Zombie deck, you have no way of changing the name. You can't even rename or organize your deck lists. However, their card adding/organizing features are lacking. They also JUST added sealed product tracking which is huge and I don't think any other site offers that. This makes specs and gambles very capable to be analyzed and dissected and you can literally see and track your profits. I can look at a card, see how much it was worth when I got it, and see what it's worth now. The one unique feature it has is remembering the price of the card when you added it, and denoting it's change in price since then. Echomtg is, in my opinion, the best database site for FINANCES. I actually dropped Deckbox for this one, however I do miss A LOT of deckbox's features. It also doesn't have it's own individual card pages, and most importantly, it doesn't have DECK support.Į - Here's one I'll be sticking with and currently pay for. This one has one unique thing where it satisfied the collector's addiction of seeing numbers hit 100% It's a great way at getting an overview of someone's collection, but it probably has the least efficient web design and worst micromanaging features, such as having a foil and nonfoil option to select even if the card only exists in one version like Teferi's Protection, which leaves a lot of room for human error. (They still don't have certain promo sets that most other sites have) And their main page focuses on nearby events which is nice, but makes for a disjointed landing page if you're really just there to manage your cards. It's UI is a bit better visually, but their database is also not as complete. The one I tried next, but it came off as a less complete version of deckbox. (for me personally the ixalan treasure map cards or several mythic edition planeswalkers and masterpiece cards never had price data.) But it has most of what you'd want for a deck database.

That means really obscure cards never really show up if you're interested in the value of your cards. Because Deckbox has their own internal market governed by its users, if no one on deckbox is selling the card, then there's no price for it. The biggest disadvantage here is a warped, and sometimes useless pricing system. It has a simply and easy to use interface, with a lot of features that newer sites lack.

More on that below.ĭ - Probably the most prominent and established service, with the most features.

However, your feature seems like something that's not in ANY of them. Nothing does it all so the easiest way is to give a quick rundown and highlight the advantages and disadvantages of the ones I've tried. So I have been searching, paying for, and using different services for a while now.
